Our cottage is on a quiet country lane with its own entrance, and is a perfect base for a holiday in Normandy. This 'petit' gite, is a lovely converted farm bakery sitting in its own orchard of apple, pear, cherry and plum trees. The orchard is securely fenced, making it perfectly safe for dogs. The property is secluded, in a rural setting, but is only a 5 minute drive from the charming market town of Brecey. The ground floor has an open-plan kitchen/living area, with staircase to first floor, with 2 single beds and an ensuite shower room. There is a 32" TV with Freesat, a DVD player, and a good selection of modern DVDs and Orange with French TV. The kitchen is fully equipped - all you need for a holiday home. At the front there is a patio with a masonry barbecue, table and chairs, a bench, parasol and sun loungers. In the shed are picnic chairs, boules, and Swingball if you're feeling energetic. To the side and rear there are lovely open views of the countryside. There is ample parking space on the drive. The cottage boasts the original stone and clay oven (attached to the outside) along with many other attractive features. There are lovely walks and cycle tracks in the nearby beech woods and the quiet country lanes are also ideal for walking or cycling (2 mountain bikes provided).
